The Coracidium or the ciliated embryophore is an important stage in the life cycle of the fish-tapeworm Diphyllobothrium latum. It is the stage which hatches from the egg stage after its maturation or embryonation then enters the first intermediate host (Cyclop) or the water flea to change into the (Procercoid stage) inside the crustacean host. [1]
